Tools

This is my personal list of some of my favorite tools that I’d like to share with you and why. Please let me know if you have tools to add to the list and use the comments feature to give recommendations.

  • igoogle – Don’t spend the time going to individual blogs, skim headlines in this customizable google atmosphere.
  • Personal Brain – If you’re like me, in school you probably were forced to make “webs” of your ideas before rough drafting. Nowadays, you can use this free mapping tool to make a web and keep track of all your ideas.
  • Ning – Create your own social network (like facebook) and engage people in a conversation they care about using this customizable tool.
  • Laughing Bird – Photoshop is devastatingly expensive, but Laughing Bird isn’t. Use this affordable software to satisfy your graphics needs.
  • SlideShare – In the webscape, it’s important to communicate graphically–share your message as a slide show using slideshare.net.
  • Zemanta – If you blog often and want to quickly hyperlink keywords and find royalty free images, plug Zemanta into your browser.
  • BrightTalk – Watch a host of high quality webcasts and webinars, put simply “Webcasts Worth Watching”.
